Charles Young Obituary
Charles (Chuck) Arthur Young Sr., age 80, passed away at his residence on Friday, May 16, 2025. Born in Peach Orchard, Ark., on Jan. 4, 1945, to Arthur Joe Young and Yulla Belle (Fossett) Young.
Chuck was a Vietnam Marine Corps veteran; he was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a farmer, truck driver and successful business owner. Chuck loved karaoke, Talladega, NASCAR and his cat, Tigger.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Loretta Ann (Schulist) Young; his parents, Arthur Joe Young and Yulla Belle (Fossett) Young; two sisters, Eva (Young) Gentry and Beverly Young; and four brothers, Harold Young, Alvin Joe Young, Calvin Young and Noland Young.
He is survived by two sons, Charles Arthur Young Jr. and Lyndon James Northup; two daughters, Lisa Ann (Northup) Moore and Dawn Lynn (Northup) Graves and husband Donny Graves; four granddaughters, Savanna Northup, Jaquelyn Northup, Courtney (Moore) Latham and husband Andrew Latham and Meah Nicole (Young) Carrasquilla and husband Hiram Carrasquilla; five grandsons, Justin Price, Kelton Blacklock, Alexander Moore, Jack Northup and Charles Keith Young; four great-granddaughters, Emmaline Paden Price, Montana Warren, Ellison Latham, Grayson Latham and Collette Carrasquilla; four brothers, Jerry Young, Ford Young, Ferron Young and Milton Young; two sisters, Janice (Young) Schulist and Sharon (Young) Sticher; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 28, from 12-4 p.m. at the Searcy VFW in Searcy, Ark. Graveside services will be Sunday, June 29, beginning at 1 p.m. at Custer Herron Cemetery in Henderson, Ark.
